Oliviette: I'd love to come to the Northwest and teach cooking classes. Right now I'm in Paris, but perhaps on one of my US visits...
Last time I used fennel pollen was when I was making pork chops with Kate Hill in Gascony. Click on the video tab at top and you'll see how we used it. Thanks for the comment!

"...Then, a few weeks later, I was back in Paris, craving these silly things — with not a taco stand in sight..."
I think you just found your million dollar idea.

Dang, it's 11:30 am here, I'm getting hungry waiting for my 11:30 patient to show up and all I can think about are those tacos.

I will make note of this place, and I may have been there...been too long. I have marinated the meat in pineapple and chili, just did not know it had a name.

I bet you haul chilies back with you? I got an email from a girl in Central America, sharing that she misses the seasonings she got back home, and that they are so expensive...I have to remember to pack that stuff if I go away again...Happy New Year...

Oh Don! If you could kiss me now, you fool! Been eating onions and garlic all morning. Please stop by Fuel City and have a few for me, won't you? Hope to see you on my next trip home.

Oh cowgirl, those tacos at Fuel City are manna from heaven. I used to go there before heading to Stevens Park for a round of golf. After eating a breakfast egg and bacon taco and a carnita taco or two, I didn't care what my score was for the day of golf.
As far as onion breath, if a girl doesn't step up and try to out do me with onion/ garlic breath then she's just not worthy. I would much rather pursue a woman that embraces food in all it's glory than some frail that is neurotic about everything being perfectly displayed for all the world to see.

I need to thank you again for introducing me to Fuel City's tacos. I had the breakfast variety with eggs & chorizo. Heaven in a little flour tortilla.

And thanks too for sharing your recipe for making tacos al pastor at home. I have to add this to the "gotta make it!" list.
