Mmmm....I have always loved beets. My Mom used to feed me Harvard style beets from a jar by "Libby's" I think. Anyway, that whole sweet and tart thing. So, now I just roast them in the oven and enjoy their deliciousness. Salad? Here I come. Thanks for the nudge, sounds wonderful with all your "Own damn salad, deliciousness!"

Kim: The beets here come already cooked, in these nifty little packages, so I just sliced them up and threw them in the salad. Wonder if there's not something like that in the States? If not, yes, steam them and they'll be just perfect.

Sounds delicious. I love the combinations. Did you steam the beets? I've never eaten them unless they were cooked.
Thanks!

I love this mix of ingredients! I'm beets' biggest fan. Put them with goat cheese and I'm very, very happy.
